LittleBigPlanet 3’s Music Sequencer, in the browser
LBP Tracker plays, edits and renders the music written in the game’s own sequencer: the same instruments, the same synthesis, the same echo and reverb, note for note. Open one of your levels, a backup, or a level from the public archive; compose on the game’s own grid; hear every change at once; save it as a WAV, a MIDI file or a song file. Everything happens on your own computer: nothing you open is uploaded anywhere.
Arrange
The board as the game lays it out, one instrument per chip and four bars to a tile, and inside each chip the note grid: points, glides, volume and timbre, whole steps or triplets.
Song/Mixer
Tempo, swing, the mixer channels and their faders, the echo and the reverb, exactly the fields the game stores; and the engine’s own voice pool and output stage.
Render
The song to a 48 kHz WAV through the same arithmetic the live player uses, with the numbers that say what the render did.
Import/Export
Out as MIDI, MPE so a bend stays with its note, with a tally of what could not be carried; in from any MIDI file, played by the game’s instruments.
Keyboard
The game’s instruments under your fingers, by mouse, computer keys or a MIDI controller, with every voice parameter to turn while it sounds.
Faithful
Every number here was read out of the game’s own binaries and checked against real levels; where the project knowingly departs from the engine, it says so.
Whatever is open stays open while you read this: the transport keeps playing, and any view brings you back to it.
